After the success of last year, the FESTIVAL STAGE is back and will be at the heart of the action on Bachelors Walk with free daily entertainment. There's a great line up with music, dance and even some acts that you can join in with!

FESTIVAL STAGE SATURDAY LINE UP:
1.15pm - VARIOUS ACTS, UNITAS ISAC
Indian Classical Dance (Bharatanatyam) Medley
with Meera Ramalingam & Niranjana Rajagopalan
Bharatanatyam is the most popular of the classical dance forms in India. Meera and Niranjana have choreographed this dance by adapting classical Bharatanatyam into a more contemporary style with a series of foot tapping fusion music from different regions of India.

Bollywood Dance
performed by Mili Seth
Mili Seth is a bollywood dance teacher from New Delhi, North India. "Bollywood dance is a dance of self expression & drama & this is what I will try to portray in the number I'll be performing from the famous movie "Aaja Nachle". The song invites everyone to dance freely leaving behind the worries of the world!"

The Dharmendra Bollywood Dance School teaches & performs Bollywood Dance which is a combination of Indian Folk Dances, Bhangara, Hip Hop, Bollywood Free Style, Indian Semi Classical & Belly Dance.

Meena Purushothaman’s Dance School
This semi classical group dance is performed by children who have been trained in this difficult Indian classical dance form by Mrs Meena Purushothaman in Dublin for quite a number of years.This group has won several classical dance competitions in Europe & will be a treat to watch.

2.15pm - LORDS OF STRUT

Lords of Strut is a show for all ages, sometimes subtle, sometimes brash humour. The Lords of Strut bring a very fresh style into street theatre. Satire, surrealism & silly comedy with flashes of surprising acrobatic skill & dance routines makes Lords of Strut, bright, tight & incredibly funny live entertainment!
A high energy 45 minute comedy acrobatic show with break dancing, contortion, acrobatic ladder, acrobalance & very original comedy.

4pm - QUARANTINE HILL
The festival is delighted to welcome back popular local band, Quarantine Hill, for their first appearance on the Festival Stage. Quarantine Hill is Mick Lacey, Rob Rowden, Ian Tolen & Derek Tracey who play original songs as well as covers of artists such as Pink Floyd, Bowie & Paul Weller

1pm - PUPPET SHOW DOUBLE BILL
Julie Rose McCormack Puppet Shows presents -
The classic tale of SINBAD THE SAILOR- join Sinbad as he sails the Seven Seas. What creatures will he meet, will he find a princess, what adventures can he seek? Come & find out!
RED RIDING HOOD- What mischief can a cheeky little girl get into when she doesn't listen to her mother? There is a twist in the tale....will she meet the Wolf or will it be something else!
2.30pm - THE BLOOD RED MOUNTAIN BAND
Formed in a cellar in a howling storm, The Blood Reds have been popping up at festivals all over Ireland for the last couple of years.
In 2009 they were awarded the accolade of BEST MUSICAL GROUP by the Irish festivals umbrella group AOIFE. Having earned their stripes touring & gigging, they are now hard at work on their debut album.Their homely line up of country fiddle, rockabilly guitar & boogie-woogie piano/bass/drums take the listener home to songs they feel they know in their bones, with harmonies to die for. 3.45pm - PIERROT 2000's
Mermaid County Wicklow Arts Centre presents
Pierrot 2000's
an updated traditional seaside comedy & music show
Including some quirky takes on classic hits & current
pop, the show’s double act recalls the tradition of Laurel & Hardy, The Marx Brothers, and The Three Stooges. The two performers both aided & hindered by their long-suffering musical accompanist struggle to put on a show for the expectant crowd, with unexpected & often hilarious results.
The show is created by Mermaid County Wicklow Arts Centre Bray Theatre Artist in Residence, Ciarán Taylor, & his company Carpet Theatre, who looked back at classic comedy routines & the Pierrot’s performance of popular songs to develop a lively up to date performance to brighten up your summer day by the sea. The show gets a sneak preview at Wicklow Arts Festival before being presented at Mermaid’s Arcadia Festival in Bray from 8th-17th June. 5pm - THE BARLEY MOB
The BaRLey MOB are a 7 piece group who's collective influences have fused to create a unique style of music. Described as one of the hardest working bands in Ireland, they bring a fresh blend of uplifting music to their listeners, embellished and delivered with equal measures of rock riffs, soulful melodies, folk jigs and infectious beats.
Since forming in April 2010, The BaRLey MOB have played over 200 gigs from the smallest snugs to the illustrious Electric Picnic, where they performed 6 times in one weekend. Every gig, rehearsal and road trip resulted in the band being described by the Irish Daily Star as "One of the tightest live bands on the circuit today" in 2011.
In October 2011 the band took time out in the studio to record their first album, due for release May 2012. While recording the album the band were invited to play live on the Pat Kenny show on RTE Radio 1.The legendary broadcaster Pat Kenny described the band as "A ray of sunshine".
