FESTIVAL ARTS TRAIL

Date : May 21st - May 30th

Follow a trail of wonderful paintings and photographs on display in the shops and businesses throughout Wicklow Town from May 21st to May 30th 2010. All of the art is available to purchase directly from the artist. A Trail map will be available locally during the festival.

Artists who would like to register for inclusion can email info@wicklowartsfestival.ie for a submission form or telephone the Festival Arts Trail co-ordinator c/o Kilmantin Art Gallery on 087 2426148 before May 5th. There is a nominal entry fee of 5 euro per entry and no commission is payable on sales.

SCHOOL'S RECYCLING ART PROJECT

Opening : Thursday 27th May sponsored by Wicklow County Council

Where :  County Council Buildings

After months of hard work by art teachers and students of Wicklow Town's secondary schools, the exhibition of their finished works will be officially opened on the 27th May and will remain on display for a week.

BEALTAINE COMMUNITY ART EXHIBITION

Date : May 21st & 22nd. Wed. May 26th-29th, open daily 10am - 5pm

Where :  Unit (previously Horizon, opposite Kilmantin Gallery), Main Street.

GRAND OPENING: Friday 21st May, 12.30pm. All welcome to attend!

A collaboration between Wicklow and Arklow Community Education art classes, and funded by the VEC, has resulted in this exhibition of works created by students.

 

ART ON THE RAILINGSart-on-railings

Date : Saturday 29th May & Sunday 30th May

Time : 9.30am onwards

Where : Fitzwilliam Square

Stroll around the railings at Fitzwilliam Square where you can meet the artists and enjoy the array of artwork on sale.

This is open to all and no commission is charged to artists, for more information email info@wicklowartsfestival.ie. Registration forms will be available from the co-ordinator on the day.

ARTISAN FOOD & CRAFT MARKETcraft-market

Where : Bachelor's Walk

Soak up the atmosphere at this colourful 2 day outdoor market by the scenic River Leitrim. Whether you're here for a taste or to treat yourself, there's something on offer for all the family with fine foods, unusual crafts and demonstrations of heritage skills.
