Admission: €5 to make a decorative bowl on the potter's wheel, ceramic/ plaster figures are priced individually. No booking necessary, pay at the workshop. Suitable for children & adults. Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult.

Decorate a ceramic/plaster figure or try your hand at throwing a bowl on the potters wheel with Wicklow based artist Christien Van Bussel.

Choose from a variety of ceramic and plaster figures and paint them with bright colours. Use the glittery decorations to make your piece even more special. You can also make your own bowl on the wheel with air drying clay. Before you take it home you'll get some tips on how to paint and varnish it so that your finished work of art will be ready to take pride of place on the mantlepiece. Join in and discover your own creativity!

Christien has a wide experience in teaching both adults and children. She organizes pottery classes in her own workshop in Aughrim and in schools around County Wicklow. Her own range of modern ceramic table ware and woodturning (below) will be on display during the festival.
